As Global Excellence Lead (f/m) - Healthcare Solutions within our Customer Value Group, you develop, communicate and implement integrated healthcare solutions for payers and related customers. Based on your profound understanding of payer and healthcare systems, your operational customer engagement experience and deep strategic expertise in Health Economics, Outcomes Research and Real World Evidence, you lead the definition, development, and consistent replication of capabilities related to developing payer-relevant integrated healthcare solutions, across all Boehringer Ingelheim affiliates and Therapeutic Areas. Thus, you innovate and preempt future needs in a rapidly changing environment.

Tasks & responsibilities

In your new role you display leadership in the scouting and evaluation of new approaches and tools for win/win integrated healthcare solutions/partnerships.
One of your key tasks will be to participate in collaborations with thought leaders in the industry, from academia and other institutions to advance thinking on innovation regarding integrated healthcare solutions. Thus, you continuously build and maintain a network of experts and stakeholders for consultation and implementation of (integrated) healthcare solutions.
In this function, you set the objectives and the strategy for the development of a capability framework and excellence standards for the development and engagement in integrated healthcare solution initiatives for all Boehringer Ingelheim affiliates, and across all Therapeutic Areas (TAs).
With your broad experience you lead the advancement and dissemination of expertise in the development of integrated healthcare solutions in collaborative partnership with our customers, with Market Access Heads from our affiliates, with TA Market Access Heads and other relevant Corporate functions.
Additionally, you build links to public affairs initiatives on a national, regional and global Level, and you leverage such opportunities in order to provide Boehringer Ingelheim solutions.
Finally, you lead and foster the exchange of best practice and experience with integrated healthcare solutions between our TAs and our affiliates.


Graduate degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Medicine, Pharmacy, Finance, Business or related discipline; an advanced scientific degree (MPH/PhD/MD) is desirable
At least 8 years of operational and strategic leadership roles in Market Access, Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Public Health, or Key Account Management; international work experience is required for this role
Ability to communicate payer-relevant evidence that meets the requirements of payers in the key markets (USA, Japan, Germany/EU, China) plus an in-depth understanding of those healthcare systems
Excellent understanding of customer requirements and extensive experience in the development of customised and innovative payer-targeted value communication materials/tools
Ability to clearly understand the need of customers/payers and to work on win-win-win solutions (patients, payers, company); demonstrable experience in successful planning and implementation of integrated payer-relevant solutions, such as disease management programmes
Strong leadership skills and business acumen, very result-oriented approach
Relevant experience in a customer-facing role paired with an innovative mindset and unconventional thinking
Proficiency in English
