Global Excellence Lead (f/m) - Payer Evidence & Value Demons

As Global Excellence Lead (f/m) - Payer Evidence & Value Demonstration you are a leading and experienced professional with regards to developing and communicating evidence to demonstrate the value of Boehringer Ingelheim products for payers. Based on your deep strategic experience in developing payer-relevant evidence and your operational experience in communicating value messages to payer customers, you lead the definition, development, and consistent replication of capabilities related to payer-relevant evidence and value demonstration across all Therapeutic Areas (TAs), Regions and our Boehringer Ingelheim affiliates.

Thus, you innovate and preempt future value demonstration needs in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.

Tasks & responsibilities

In your new role you will set the objectives and the strategy for the development of a capability framework and excellence standards for all activities and deliverables related to payer-relevant evidence development and value demonstration.
You consult and advise the Therapeutic Area Market Access Heads and Market Access Leads in our affiliates on value demonstration strategy and methodology related to payer-relevant evidence development and value communication.
Additionally, you lead all activities for the advancement and dissemination of expertise in payer-relevant evidence development and value demonstration globally.
You improve the standards for payer-relevant deliverables, apply appropriate technical methodology as well as good understanding of customer requirements in the focus and other key markets.
You participate in collaborations with thought leaders to advance thinking on innovations in payer-relevant evidence development and value communication, together with academia, our customers and industry groups.
You display leadership in the scouting and evaluation of new methods in value demonstration and application to Market Access. You also maintain a network of internal and external experts and stakeholders for consultation and Innovation.


Graduate degree in Health Economics, Medicine, Pharmacy, Business or related discipline; an advanced scientific degree such as MPH/PhD/MD is desirable
At least 8 years of operational and strategic leadership roles in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Public Health, HTA, Market Access or related field
Ability to design, generate, synthesise and communicate payer-relevant evidence that meet requirements of HTA agencies and payers in the key markets (USA, Japan, Germany/EU, China)
Experience in the development of HTA- and payer-targeted value demonstration materials/tools (such as global value dossiers and economic models) as well as experience in piloting and implementing innovative methodological approaches in value generation
Successful track record of influencing value demonstration related discussions with though leaders in academia, associations and health authorities
Ability to adapt to frequent changes and developments in the market access environment and to clearly understand the need of customers/payers
Outcome-oriented attitude paired with an innovative mindset and unconventional thinking; strong leadership skills and strong business acumen
International experience required plus proficiency in English
