Especially, in the healthcare sector, mobility and flexibility are more important than ever. A lack of nursing and care personal in some countries and a shortage of physicians in others create additional career opportunities.
Whereas working in another country is inspiring and mind-broadening, making your way through regulations, recognition and language requirements can sometimes be irritating and discouraging. Will my diploma be accepted in Norway? Is there an equivalent job at all or what profession would be comparable? And, what language level will be required?
All European governments have set guidelines about the recognition of academic grades and diplomas acquired in other countries – unfortunately, these are not harmonised between all of them. The easiest and most reliable way is to enquire locally. However, there is also a good overview published by the European Union.
